Navy Blue Silk Dress and Belt

I finished this back in September, but didn't have a photo of it until now. So here it is... in all its glory.

I saw a picture of something similar in a magazine and went from there. The one in the magazine had little gold beads all over it, but I thought that would be impractical so I made a beaded belt to go with it instead. It was a lot of fun to make... probably my most complicated project yet. I made the pattern for it and nothing went seriously wrong, so I'm quite pleased.

The total cost was $11.34, the dress itself being only $5 of that.
